I graduated from Columbia Law School in 2000 and practiced law for many years in New York City, advising companies and individuals on these kinds of projects:
- public and private sales of securities by U.S. and foreign issuers and secondary sellers
- acquisitions of Chinese operations by U.S. holding companies
- resolution of commercial disputes and regulatory investigations
- compliance with ongoing public disclosure requirements
From 2009 to 2011 I lived in China, where I worked in the Beijing office of a PRC law firm as a consultant on these kinds of projects:
- acquisitions of Chinese corporate assets and expansion of China operations by western companies
- acquisitions of foreign operations by Chinese companies
- arbitration of international commercial disputes
- training of Chinese lawyers in the drafting of English-language contracts
In 2014 I was admitted to practice law in Florida, and my practice is now based in Pinellas County. I continue to work on commercial projects like those described above, as well as on civil appellate and trial litigation, defense of regulatory actions, and certain family-law, estate-planning, and other matters.
